Medical students will be sent for two weeks of credit to study high altitude and travel related medicine to the beautiful city of Chamonix France. Students will have a chance to learn about how high altitude affect the many people who visit this here and also have a chance to travel related medicine as well. Students will study and earn the AWLS certificate and hike through the Alps. They will learn other important aspects of back country and high altitude medicine.
Dates for 2018:
Tuesday July 10 to Saturday July 14th for the lectures
Sunday July 15 to Friday July 20 for the hikes in the Alps
The AWLS course is from Thursday April 12th to Saturday April 15th. Look at www.awls.org for details of the course. Your fee will be $100 to Wilderness Medicine of Utah
The hikes around Mont Blanc trek is being staged by Wilderness Medicine of Utah. You can do this in addition to the course www.wmutah.org for detail of the trek.
