Textbook Requirement:  Advanced Wilderness Life Support
The book will be available in class (not in the bookstore)
The cost is $40.00 - you will buy this the first night of the course. Cash or credit cards are both accepted

AWLS certification

To earn the AWLS certification, students must take the course, pass the written AWLS exam and the AWLS practical skills exam. The AWLS certification exam is given the last night of the course.  The practical skills will be given either in Moab or Salt Lake City.

Practical Skills

You will be required to take one session of practical skills.  One is offered in Moab the first weekend of the course.  The second is offered the second saturday of the course in Salt Lake City.  You only need to attend one  Click the links below for details.

Lectures

The lectures are given on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights the first week and Wednsday, Thurday and Friday night the second week from 6 until about 9 pm. There will be between 3 - 4 lectures each night. The class is held in Rm. 1730 of the Health Science Education Building (HSEB) located just south of the Eccles Library. More details will be given on the opening night of the course.
